Having read many books on social networking for business, I found this book to be a slow start. You may read a good 120 pages before reaching the best information — new information, helpful for those who already have some experience.

The first part of the book includes steps teaching how to set up Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn). Increase Online Sales through Social Networking appeared to be a book for beginners; for those who had no idea how to establish an Internet presence.

Good thing I kept reading~

Woessner’s book is like a snowball. It starts out slow but the material begins to build and as the time saving techniques stick in your mind, you will feel the excitement to immediately implement them.

Like a snowball rolling downhill, the momentum grows, and the idea is — once started, it will take little effort to keep it going. Theoretically, the snowball could run you over — overwhelm you if you do not have a system to read, comment, and share amongst all your new social media networking connections.

You will have a good system in place if you read Increase Online Sales Through Viral Social Networking

When I think of something going viral, I imagine a post, photo, or video that is shared at lightning speed to an audience who in turn shares, and whose recipients urgently share, and the process is repeated. Viral to me means “instantaneously reaching a huge audience.”

I didn’t find anything in this book that resonated with me as to how I can make my post, photo, or video go viral, so don’t let the title mislead you. (Woessner includes tips for making a good post, just not the attributes you need for a “viral post.”)

I think Woessner’s title refers to setting up you business with the potential or capability to have a post, photo, or video go viral, as well as positioning yourself to accomplish social networking for business at a viral speed.
